EMCOR Subsidiary Tucker Mechanical Construction Workers and Yale Cancer Center Employees to Wear EMCOR Pink Hard Hats and Form A Human Pink Ribbon in Visible Call to Action to "Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today"
NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT, October 7, 2010 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, is proud to announce that its Tucker Mechanical subsidiary will be donning EMCOR Pink Hard Hats, along with employees of Yale Cancer Center and Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut on Friday, October 8 at 9:30 a.m. ET and assembling at Amistad Park in New Haven in a "Call to Action" in support of Breast Cancer screening and awareness. As part of EMCOR's "Protect Yourself. Get Screened Today" campaign, over 160 employees from the organizations will form themselves into the shape of a giant human pink ribbon, the international symbol of breast cancer awareness.
Tucker Mechanical President and CEO, Robert Turner, will present an official EMCOR Pink Hard Hat to Dr. Anees Chagpar, MD, Director of the Yale Breast Center. As part of the special ceremony, Tucker Mechanical employees, as well as a number of general contractors and sub-contractors that Tucker Mechanical works with, will remove their regular hard hats and replace them with official EMCOR Pink Hard Hats in a "Call to Action" for millions of women and men to "Protect Yourself" through Breast Cancer screening and awareness.

Dr. Anees Chagpar commented, "Yale Cancer Center is honored to partner with EMCOR/Tucker to build breast cancer awareness through its "Protect Yourself." campaign. Breast cancer affects over 200,000 women in the U.S. each year, and the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer cannot be underestimated. EMCOR/Tucker Mechanical's effort to increase awareness of breast cancer screening through the Pink Hard Hat initiative is an innovative way to remind women to make an appointment for their annual mammogram."
Among the attendees and speakers at the event will be breast cancer spokesperson from EMCOR, Maria Mattera, who will bring a personal perspective to the event. For many years, Maria has been at the heart of EMCOR's support of the issue of breast cancer, and is passionate about EMCOR's Pink Hard Hat Program.
For over ten years Tucker Mechanical has been working with the Yale community on construction projects, renovations, design build projects, energy projects, equipment upgrades, and more, at Yale-New Haven Medical Center, Yale School of Medicine, Yale University, and other facilities throughout the campus. Tucker is currently working on the Yale Central Power Plant/Boilers and Diesel Generator Upgrade/Increase, and the Yale Sterling Power Plant Cogeneration and Expansion.
