EMCOR Group, Inc. Awarded Contract From The General Services Administration
To Provide Facilities Operations & Maintenance Services For 33 Commissaries for The Defense Commissary Agency
NORWALK, CONNECTICUT, May 6, 2010 - EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses announced that its EMCOR Government Services unit has been awarded a contract for facilities operations and maintenance services from the General Services Administration for The Defense Commissary Agency Region Five. EMCOR subsidiaries EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems, the EMCOR Customer Solutions Center, and Tucker Mechanical will assist in providing services and support required under the contract. Headquartered in Fort Lee, Virginia, The Defense Commissary Agency's Region Five includes 33 commissaries for active duty military, reserves, veterans and their families in Alaska, California, Hawaii, and Nevada. The contract commenced April 1, 2010.
EMCOR Government Services will provide overall project management and administration of the contract, which includes providing each commissary with the servicing needed of its refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well as of its generators, roofs, automated doors, and dock levelers, with minor alterations/repairs, renovations, and general maintenance.
EMCOR Services Mesa Energy Systems will manage the contract refrigeration services program and will provide refrigeration, HVAC, and general maintenance services. The EMCOR Customer Solutions Center will manage work orders and service call reception. Tucker Mechanical was instrumental in developing the EMCOR team proposal and will continue in a supporting role.
